Sunshine... Moonlight... Good Times... Boogie...

"I'm gonna take a moment to introduce the band..."

SOUL CITY is on a mission to summon up the spirit of the classic Soul, Disco and Funk era of the 1960's, 70's and early 80's.

We're all about getting up, and getting down!

Our recipe is simple: First select the all-time classics from the Motown, Stax and Phili songbooks, blend with the finest Disco and Funk grooves, then add a pinch of spice from more modern artists who tip their hat to the glory days.

Result? The finest collection of all-night dance floor fillers you'll ever hear!

Here are a few scribblings about the guys and gals in the band...

The first of our front line is lead vocalist LOU HARROW.

Lou's been 'praying like Aretha Franklin' since she was knee high to a grasshopper, and honed her craft on the road working with numerous touring bands.

Her CV to date includes several tours of the UK and Europe, plus numerous appearances at many of London's most prestigious hotel venues.

We think Lou has the voice and spirit which perfectly captures the unique style and sound of the Motown and Disco era.

The second of our 'Glamorous Duo' is our newest recruit, WENDY PAGE.

Wendy is a Singer, Songwriter, Producer and Actress who’s recently relocated back to the UK after 15 years living and working in LA.

Her pin-sharp harmonies allow us to recapture the unique multi-layered sound of the Motown and Disco eras.

Next up is our geetarist, occasional lead vocalist , and harmony vocalist DAVE LEWIS.

Dave has transformed his home village of Bledlow into the funk capital of Bucks. Not enough that it was already the home of Rock!...

His neighbours just call him Nile - 'nuff said!....

Now here’s a fella we’re truly delighted to be working with… On Keyboards, mr. SCOTT THOMAS

Scott is one of the most talented and busiest guys we’ve ever met, splitting his time between literally dozens of bands.

A lifelong Soul and Disco devotee, Scott perfectly conjures up the punchy Brass, Strings and Piano that totally define the Motown and Disco sound.

And so to the first of the Engine Room Crew….On drums…CHRIS SMITH

Don’t be fooled by those new-fangled V Drums - Chris has got Old Skool Funk!

Chris learned his craft thru the 70’s and 80’s. Like many drummers, he was nearly wiped out by the rise of the drum machines, but we’re happy to say he survived!

Completing our line up is the second of the Engine Room Crew…On Bass…let’s hear it for mr. NICK BUTCHER!

Nick keeps the Funky Furnace blazing with super-tight grooves.
